A  superb and regal Livestock Guardian Dog, Barghest has proved to us that he is able to manage problems without losing his cool, and his natural instincts are evident in his gentle yet decisive demeanor. We feel he was wrongly judged, and deserves the chance to prove himself to a family looking for a protector and an intimidating yet unassuming presence in their lives.  Barghest survived a shooting when it was thought he was chasing cattle, but it was never proved that he did so, and we all feel he was guarding them from predators.  He had opportunity to prey on livestock if he had wanted... but he chose to run away from the human threat instead. Such a remarkable boy!
