UPDATE: Vixen is a gentle soul with a heart of gold. Her sweetness is as vast as an ocean, enveloping everyone she meets with warmth and affection. She's a friend to all, dogs, cats, and kids alike, making her the perfect family companion. Vixen's manners are impeccable, with her housetraining and cratetraining making her an easy fit into any home. Having been fostered, she's well-adjusted and ready to bring her tender spirit into your life. Though she's gentle, she loves being active and jumping the jumps in her backyard then coming in and sleeping on the back of the sofa like a cat. She's ready to share her love and companionship with a forever family who will cherish her as much as she will them.

Vixen spent her formative years at the shelter, but is now in a foster home, and is proving herself to be a lovely houseguest. She defers to the other ladies of the household who really show their bossiness over her, and she rolls with the slight corrections they give occasionally.  She is extremely happy to have a large yard, and access to a doggy door where she can come and go as she pleases, and not at the whim of a volunteer dog walker. She is housetrained, and also crates easily (could that be her hound "dog box" background?) She does not chase the cats in the household, which is truly amazing! We don't have any small children to expose her to, but feel she would adore them, but may be a little enthusiastic initially. Check her out! She is not at the shelter, so we will need an application to send to her foster family to establish a visit time.
