Collie / Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat) : : Male : : Baby : : Medium
Little bitty Opie is a tiny version of his littermates. I don't know if his daddy is different than everyone elses, or if he just didn't thrive at the beginning. He is very shy and likes to be babied, so I enjoy carrying him around. He is one of Macy's puppies. He has been treated for several weeks for a type of sarcoptic mange which caused hair loss and itching. He feels so much better now! The pups have had two of the series of three puppy shots and are being socialized and exposed to new textures, sounds, and sights every day.
They would love to have a home of their own!
Please note that puppy adoptions directly from the county facility are limited to citizens from counties touching Campbell County, Campbell County itself, or the city of Lynchburg. Other folks may adopt, but must go through Friends of Animal Control or another local rescue group.
For more information on how to adopt, sponsor, or donate to help the animals at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility, please go to www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org.
Our process begins with an application, found on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Once your application has been received, a volunteer will call the references you list and then will contact you.
