About Madison: transferred

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Black
  • Housetrained: Yes
Madison is a smart, sweet dog who came in as a stray to the county pound. She gets along great with other dogs and appears to be housetrained. We think she is a young adult, 1 to 2 years old, and she weighs about 32 pounds. It is always interesting to get dogs out and work with them the way you would work with your own dogs, and on Sunday, Madison was treated to a photo shoot with several of our volunteers. She absolutely reveled in the attention, and we could all picture her at Mardi Gras having the time of her life! She really was good with our youngest volunteer, didn't mind the hustle going on, and loved dressing up in costumes and beads. Madison also enjoyed learning "get it!" when we were eating pizza. We would ask her to sit, and then toss her pieces of Domino's best thick crust pepperoni and double cheese pizza. It was wonderful to see how she responded to praise and treats! Let's hear it for Madison! For a meet and greet with Madison, she should first be allowed to run off some of her excess energy, as she has been in the pound far too long without lots of exercise time. Then proceed to introducing her to new people. For information on adopting this animal who is in care at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility, please call there: 434.821-4416.
