About Daisy: spring in her step

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Sable
  • Housetrained: Yes
Daisy is crate trained, working hard on housetraining, and is about 42 pounds. She is 5-1/2 months old, and is probably the biggest puppy I've ever fostered! She gets along well with my German shepherds, but thinks the chihuahua is a toy! I manage that carefully, because Daisy is so big, without meaning to I think she could knock the senior chihuahua over. Daisy's broken bones have healed, but her front leg will be rechecked in one more week. One of the bones may be growing faster than the other, and the vet will tell us if she needs a bit of surgery on that. The vet had thought she would need surgery on her femur, but when he x-rayed her leg two weeks ago in preparation for it, he found it was healing very nicely on its own, and surgery was not needed. Daisy runs like a normal dog, and bounds up and down stairs, on the sofa, and on her bed. She is full of life and love! What else can I tell you? This dog is in a foster home and not at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility. For an application to adopt, go to www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org.
