10/4/132 Transferred to Green Dogs Unleashed!
Jessie aka China is a 6 month old GSD/Border Collie mix. She is house trained and good with other dogs and loves to ride in the car. She was signed over to the shelter because of a new baby in the family. She weighs about 30 pounds and is fine with other dogs once out of her kennel. It's not easy being a herding breed, and this sweet mix of border collie/German shepherd doesn't know what to do without a job! She wants to work hard, pleasing her family with general training, agility, or more.
Updates from China's foster family: "China is now JESSIE. She has convinced the shih tzu to play with her, but the older dogs won't play. She just follows them outside. She's like my shadow in the house. She sleeps in a crate at night but doesn't want to go in it when I have to leave the house during the day."
It sounds like this foster situation is exactly what JESSIE needed. Someone is giving her guidelines and expectations, but is letting her learn as she goes. What a lovely experienced foster family for JESSIE! Seven months old, and searching for a new home!
