Words from Dandy's foster mom: Dandy is a 3 year old long haired Chihuahua. At the park, Dandy often minds his own business and would rather hang out with his foster mom and foster sister than spend too much time with the other pups (although when approached he does not mind other dogs). At home, he always plays nicely with his 60 pound foster sister. Being only 8 pounds, Dandy does not take up too much space or need too much supervising work. Dandy is housebroken and is sure to use his pads when he is unable to get outside to potty. Dandy is crate trained, loves baths, and is happy to cuddle up on your lap at the end of the day. He has had little exposure to young children so a home with children 10 or up would be best. Because of his poor experiences in the past, Dandy does not always make the best first impression. In order to really see the happy, healthy boy Dandy is, he needs to warm up to new people and become comfortable with the situation. Once he is comfortable, Dandy is happy to travel, cuddle, play, or even to be carried around in your bag! He has had some issues with one of his knees in the past, but has shown great improvement and truly loves life!
