About Zoey

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Rabbit
  • General Color: Brown
  • Housetrained: Yes
Zoey is about 1 year old and in good health. She is very friendly and loves to be petted but less crazy about being held. She craves nothing more than to sit quietly beside you while you stroke her silky fur! Her past year has been one of bouncing around from the home who purchased her and quickly found that her natural chewing behaviors and grown up bunny size were too much for them and had relegated her to an outdoor enclosure. A neighbor intervened and brought her home with the expressed intention of finding her a good home. We thought the library would be perfect but this smart little lady quickly learned how to leap out of her enclosure, causing havoc in the library. While we thought it was quite fun to have bunny hopping about, not everyone in the public did so we too are now searching for just the right home for Zoey where she can hop about at will in a chew-safe environment with lots of pets and ear scratches to be had. Smart, lovely, sweet, and personable, this bunny is just a delight. She is litter trained and seems fearless with other animals, companionable to those who do not want to eat her. This rabbit is in a foster home and not at the Campbell County Animal Control Facility. We always begin with an application to adopt, and this will be forwarded to the foster family for review. You can find this on our website, www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. Specific questions are most easily answered by email, info@friendsofcampbellcounty.org, or by leaving a voicemail for one of our volunteers at 434-485-6242. APPLICATIONS ARE REQUIRED TO ADOPT.
