We ask that the pets in your home be current with rabies vaccines, spay/neutered, and seen by a veterinarian for wellness.

Dancer!! Urgent!! Please help him!! URGENT:::: DANCER!! He is our long-timer and needs out ASAP because the shelter is driving him crazy! His brother was adopted first, and DANCER is still waiting. He loves, loves, loves smaller dogs and puppies! Not good with dogs his own size or larger, and not a dog who should be living with cats. Please consider DANCER if you want a dog who is into hugs, kisses, and human interaction! He is only a year old and we really want to see him in a home! We can help you with assessment and adjustment to your home if needed. DANCER is a lab/pibble mix. He is so special and we love him so much that his neuter and rabies vaccine will be sponsored by one of our volunteers. The policy for adopting an unsterilized pet requires that you live in Campbell County, Lynchburg City, or a county touching Campbell County. If you are a resident of one of these areas, you may adopt directly from the facility and spay/neuter the pet yourself within 30 days, or by the time the pet is six months of age. If you live outside this area, the pet must be spayed or neutered before you can take it home. Kittens or puppies too young for spay/neuter may be adopted through Friends of Campbell County Animal Control. We will be happy to help you make arrangements to do this.
