We can often determine the kind of life a dog has had prior to coming to the shelter by observing his physical attributes.

Benji was shy and overwhelmed by the attention he received when he first came to the shelter. His appearance was 'raggedy" and he exhibited signs of pressure sores from his unsuitable housing prior to arrival. Two weeks of shelter life has made him happier and given him confidence to act like a dog! We are thrilled with the progress! He is ready to be adopted.

To meet Benji, who weighs under 40 pounds and most likely will not grow taller, please stop by the shelter during the open hours, 12 to 5, or 11 to 4.
