If you are willing to hold on to your hat and not rush into an adoption, but think you may be interested in taking on a very special girl in several weeks, then you might want to consider Keiko. She is a reactive mixed breed, a designer breed, but because of her timidity has become extremely reactive when she sees new humans and other dogs. Her original family had hoped that she could be happy going to work with them every day, but her fearfulness meeting new people has caused her to bark and growl and be grumpy, so they opted to ask for assistance with controlling her reactivity and rehoming to a less-public home where things will be less exciting for her.  She is currently in a foster home with a wonderful behaviorist/trainer, and we understand she is slowly, slowly learning the ropes. She does love other dogs, but needs to learn appropriate introduction skills. She is not going to be an easy dog as far as taking places for socialization, so we want to be sure prospective families understand that. To inquire, send us an application, and we will forward to her foster mom for her to respond.
