This is Jersey, the smallest of her siblings of Shih Tzu-mix puppies. Her foster mom says this: “ She is probably the most outgoing and fierce. Like all puppies, she is extremely playful and chewing on everything. All basically trained themselves to pee on pee pad. (We are still working on the pooping.)” The puppies were born March 4th, and got a clean bill of health at their vet visit last month. Their mother is a Shih Tzu, and we assume that dad was a sweet smallish mix. Both she and her brother Dexter are searching for active homes, with another playful nice dog willing to take on the role of advisor and friend. Older kids willing to help with playtime, and not upset with puppy biting or scratching during the training process are also a great possibility. Neither Jersey nor her brother Dexter is cuddly or "lapdog" type, despite their cuteness and size. They are wide open and ready to go, go, go! While they play with cats, we truly want them to be with another dog, and we ask that other pets in the household be sterilized and current with vaccines. The adoption fee of $400 includes spay or neuter surgery at the age of six months, a rabies shot, a Microchip, and age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption.
