Bear is a wonderful boy who wound up at the shelter after housing changes meant his human could no longer care for him at home. (His dad was a senior who still loves Bear, but assisted living called his name, and there were no other options for Bear.) Bear has been neutered, and has finally got our schedule straight so that he can continue with his house training practices. In his previous home, bear lived with his mother, a 65 pound dog. He is not comfortable with smaller dogs, and would most likely knock a toddler over just because of his exuberance. However he is wonderful with older kids, and really gravitates toward older adults. He has most definitely earned the title, shelter favorite, because he is happy to see us, easy to walk, and lives life to the fullest despite the circumstances. If you love Rottweilers, you will certainly love this boy! His human gave us wonderful information about his personality. He loves throwing himself to the grass and leaves and rolling like a worm in the sunshine or in the rain. He really is not too picky about it! We just love his accepting, laid-back attitude, and his happiness for life! Bear is just under 100 pounds. He is current with vaccines, current with heartworm testing, and micro chipped. All he needs is a loving home with larger breed dogs, and someone to respect him. To apply go to our website at www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org.
