One year old Trina is very sweet and is fine with other cats and dogs. We have a most interesting dilemma with her now, because of the results of her FelvFIV test last week. She tested positive for Felv using a snap test, so it was repeated, and was still positive. Her kittens however tested negative. Because she is one super-amazing cat, we opted to pursue further testing, more involved than a snap test, and discovered that it was negative. However, the interpretation of the test now gets very complicated.  What it boils down to is that we don't want to give up hope that in 60 days, if retested, she will still be negative, but in the meantime, because it is possible she is a carrier of Felv and will never become symptomatic, she needs to be in a "safe house" with no other cats, or in a home where the other cats are vaccinated against Felv.  Please help us out if you have Felv vaccinated cats!  We want Trina to live her best life, as she is one super-cat, with great social skills with other cats, good with dogs, and super friendly with humans!
