UPDATE: BOOTSIE: From a wounded, uncared for stray cat who roamed a local mobile home park to a neutered and vetted cat ready to find a home—Bootsie is FelvFIV negative, and adores humans. He is two years old. - - - This is Bootsie. Do you ever wonder where all the cats come from that end up at the shelter in Campbell County? Here is one story that we are happy to share with you. Bootsie was an injured boy brought to the shelter by a resident who said he was a stray. However, he has been at this place for two years. In the eyes of most of us, cats are not strays if you are caring for them longer than seven days. The two-year “stray” was injured, and AC was called. Because he is a nice cat, we took him to the vet, and his injury has been stitched up; he was neutered, and he is waiting at the shelter to be adopted. He is the sweetest boy you can imagine! He will always be a little bit "special" with limited mobility in his right rear leg, but is adoptable and loving. Apply to adopt by going to our website: www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org.
