Domestic Short Hair (short coat) : : Female : : Adult : : Medium
UPDATE: Her bandage was removed and she is feeling so much better. - - - Hyacinth is a one year old ear-tipped and spayed beauty who has been in care for several weeks, due to an injury to her leg that just wasn’t healing. Although she is someone’s outdoor cat, she has transitioned to “confined convalescent” remarkably well. Her injury was to the back of her right front leg, where the constant use of her leg prevented healing. There was scar tissue built up around the wound, indicating it was months okd. Veterinarians always have to consider options—and for this beauty, they suggested bandaging to see if that would work. The good news is that bandaging and enforced rest are allowing Hyacinth’s leg to grow new skin. Her next bandage change is scheduled for Monday, and it is hoped that there will be enough new tissue to allow the edges of the wound to be pulled together and sutured. The end is in sight!
